The design captures a field of three thoroughbreds mid-stride along the course at Callaway Gardens—jockeys low in the irons, the judges' tower and race-day flags behind them, spectators gathered at the rail beneath a canopy of Georgia live oaks. The original painting was inspired by the steeplechase course at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, and the scene is framed by a border of linked snaffle bits.
Set in rich black and burnt orange over a warm, sunlit course, this colorway makes a bold, grounded statement. Woven from 100% wool, lightweight, soft, and cozy for fall, and finished with a fringe edge, the oblong measures 65 x 175 cm—longer, warmer, and cozier than our silk pieces.
